Why are single girls always so defensive??

Okay I know being single is great, I know you are not married and you get to go to pub, you have an apparently cooler lifestyle. Fine but why so self defensive, why pick on others' statements. Didn't they ask about boyfriends in teens so why take it like an attack now. One of my friends put her status as something like why do people have problems with single women, we are living our life others are not. Then some other 2 single friends of her liked the status and said go friend go. Hmm she is in live-in relationship already, i mean how much different is it from marriage these days and then complaints of being tormented by society to be unmarried. I have been in both, live in for two and a half year and then married the same guy. Its been six months. Nothing changes except general meddling from in-laws and occasional over happy friendly visits.

But the point here is single, like no boyfriend nothing in place. Still come on its not bad at all. So why play the part where you are so frustrated by society putting pressure on you. Did you give in to the pressure when they said no sex or no booze. I get it everyone wants love commitment not for soulmate reasons but for companionship. Still its you who is upset why blame it on others. We are not even concerned or judging you or as a fact thinking about you. Just don't get it why they want pity card for them. Why do even want to be questioned or noticed?

Not all of them do this but most of them portray themselves like coolest happiest creatures enjoying their beach house disturbed by society birds pooping on deck. Why why why ? Do you want us to admit your life is better ? Well why would we, we have something to get up to and its our life, why would we rate it less than yours, we are not sadists or on verge of depression.

I have major sister issues and the only reason why I got married was because in india, your elder sister has to get married for you to get into queue. And she got us to do that, but then she just refuses to get married now which i am okk with till i have to live with my in-laws on vacations or after their retirement. To just add to the anger of my husband, she started making fun of how married uncle he is, he probably hates her the most. She  forced him for loss of 3 lakh rupees and 15 day holidays with relatives. Anyways see thats the point, you are at even more pathetic stage, u don't know if you are compatible enough, you don't know if you will ever be married, you know it all and still want pity sympathy. So my question is why so fency, why can't you just get on with ur lives and stop making fun of married ones or fighting every couple who just asks whats going on?
Either you loathe your single life or we have one attention seeker here.

Things all new parents say :)

I don't hate kids, i just don't like how they are brought up by parents. The whole life starts revolving around kid, the worst part being wanting to show what special unique creature they are parenting awesomely. I open facebook, there are my friends posting status pics on and on about their kids. Thankfully my best friend has two kids and she never talks about them, sometimes may be but never too sweet things or their conversations.
So the first thing as soon as the baby is born, the cover photo changes and then sweet statuses follow, our sweet angel, he luks just like his dad or grand daddy. Then over the months pics follow, child with mobile, child with laptop, child on cycle, child on tree, child in zoo, child in toilet, child in bath tub, child playing, child sleeping, child smiling, child in goggles, child dancing, child singing, child slapping, child crying etc etc etc.

My doll is so adorable, feel blessed to have her...pillow fight between daddy daughter blessings in disguise....what mummy is saying is right, love her to fullest...Well i have seen lamer ones like from ones in dat true luv duv phase. Anyways one of my friends bragged about how her child could make spit bubbles, not grosser than one who put up a pic of potty training i guess.

After this all torture, they expect us to vote for their child on some model hunt. I like babies but it was only  her child I didn't like, I  think I liked 5 other kids more so I did like theirs too. But what uh kids models likes facebook. Whats up with the competition in everything.

So putting up on facebook isn't enough, when you meet parents even of like five or six year olds, they keep bringing up how smart their child is, how she just walked talked before any other kid could. How she just kicked showing her dancing interest or football, how she could get into harvard whenever she wants. How she is so good at learning anthem, songs and that shows her intelligence. Oh my god, the worst is the time when your mom-in-law and this new parent are talking and all you can do is just nod and finish the conversation in mind. I actually did tell this relative every kid is smart like ur kid is, every kid can operate mobile, every kid likes car because they see it from childhood and that is why they see tv too. But I guess she was offended and my friend too. My mom-in-law was like ohh if you don't like kids, kids will know it. There is nothing worse than a mother-in-law trying to teach like ur mom didn't try enough.

I am not saying curb the talent but you don't want a  boo boo child. Go go juice could be popular in india if they know there exists something that could get their kids singing dancing chanting like a maniac. Kids are just all over tv, they are dancing at the age of five, getting comments bowing before judges, who wants that tension. Worst one was kids being chefs, junior masterchef, seriously kids have to be mentally retarded or just damaged to want to do this at that age. Look at the way they talk, its pukey.Who wants to stand in line, waiting for their audition, paying for so much of dancing singing painting etc etc.

My neighbors just had a baby girl and they play inspirational god songs for her, the papa guy sings all day for her in his tamil language and the mommy just makes strange noises like aaaah ohhh tadatadatada bucha bucha in some adorable high pitch tone, it sounds weird. Huh thin walls. Its so irritating. And then to worsen matters, they put up the pic on facebook and asked who does she resemble more, i was like ohh other two month olds they all look same don't they. They keep discussing why people are not calling to wish, well i know because noone wants to know how cute your child is aur what she is upto.

My sister is a maniac too, she just follows her boyfriend blindly so when he decided to bring his niece to movie, she actually agreed and said she is pretty well behaved when all that kid did was saying i am hungry i am hungry and just rolled over on the stairs and slept near the screen. Love makes you deafly dumb.

Inspirational Movies

Inspiration as in for one day or may be a few hours i guess. No movie could keep me inspired for more than a week. Some of those movies that make you feel like go-go do-do kinda movies only exist for extra sensitive or directionless folks. Or may be I am like some hard skinned stubborn oldie refusing to put effort anywhere beyond 10 steps. Few of those movies that could motivate me for a while are:

Erin Brockowich : The woman goes through divorce, has kids then she has to run errands, search for the job having no job experience for last child raising years. How she ends up in a law firm getting the right case to work on helping a lot of other people is amazing. She dresses differently, she talks brutally, she doesn't fit into the field but nonetheless she gets what she wants.

Seven Pounds : Will Smith has done fab job in the movie. At first, you wonder like whats happening in the story and then you are glued to it. At the end it affected me so much that i literally went and signed organ donation forms.

Pursuit Of Happyness : His wife leaves him, he wanders around with his child selling not in demand machines. And the tiny ray of hope that he just sees and going by his guts and hard work ultimately achieves the dream.

Ron Clark : The story of a teacher who signs up to teach a class with students from different backgrounds. They all have problems, financial family academically; he just doesn't give up and shapes their future.

Changeling : The mother loses her son and then starts searching for her. Her son returns but there are other things she must deal with and she does. Angelina Jolie plays the character really well.

Life Is Beautiful : At the end of the movie, you will say life is beautiful too. The man falls in love with the high class girl, they get married have a kid then they end up in nazi camps. How father remains optimist throughout the movie intelligently keeping his kid and wife alive is great.

The Family Man : Nicolas Cage sees two sides of life, either he could be successful or if he lived a separate life he could have the suburb poor life with kids. What does he want ultimately? What is more important to pursue is what its all about.

Click  : Adam Sandler has a wife, 2 kids and like most men he works a lot giving less attention to his family. One day he is given the remote of life. He goes on using it till he realizes he missed on the best moments and just ran around making money.

The Butterfly Effect : Ashton kutcher and his friends' lives are changed everytime he does time travel and one or the other person ends up being miserable. How our every action affects us and others is a wakeup call for us to think before deciding.

Braveheart : Who hasn't seen braveheart, Mel gibson a commoner's wife is killed brutally and he decides to fight against English rule and overthrows them.

Coach Carter : Coach Carter comes in and trains disciplines boys. He forces them to concentrate on academics too. Some of them got scholarships which was kinda great. Its like all it takes is a determined effort from a man to change several other lives.

Blind Side : Sandra Bullock is excellent in the movie. She gives home to homeless black guy, she helps him in the studies, she motivates him to join the game and it all falls into place when he gets to go the university. Its all so inspiring. Money might rot in our accounts forever but a few bucks of them can transform someone's else life.

Big Miracle : A whale family is in crisis and could die out there and become  food of locals. A reporter covers the news and then with the efforts of a lot of people alongwith an organization they are finally rescued. We all would rather sit at home and just condemn comment on the people who hit animals. Why not go out there and help some of the strays.

Soul Surfer : She has been surfing since she was a child. But one unfortunate day she loses her leg but spirit isn't lost. She goes back to surfing and keeps on winning competitions.

Hachiko : Story of a dog who waited for his master and died waiting for him at the station. The movie is a major tear-jerker. How is this inspirational, i don't know may be like for having a dog or just seeing how much a dog would do what human beings won't do for you. Its all unconditional love.

Beyond The Blackboard : Again the story of a teacher who was posted in an unconventional neighborhood, parents keep moving around, school's items keep getting stolen, she gets pregnant and inspite of all of this, she does her work and makes a difference.

Prayers For Bobby : This is a wholly different subject, how much difficult a mom could make it for her own son. She would rather have him dead than gay. Its sad to see what happens when people believe more in absent things. Whey not care for family more. The society would just not care if you didn't.

Son rise a miracle of love : Its a pretty old movie. They have a boy but he somehow stops reacting and won't talk. How they are constantly there for him and take care of him constantly is so motivating. Just because you had sex doesn't make you a parent. Its the most difficult job one could ever have. In india, everyone just pops them out for society or protection reasons, its so depressing at times. Children have no personality what so ever.

A Time To Kill : A lawyer fights for a black guy who shoots for the white guy who raped his young daughter. The society and jury are all from old times when there was racism at best. The decision taken was a breakthrough those times.

More bollywood movies that aint so bad

Yeh saali zindagi This is an irfan khan movie. It is somehow like fast english movies where there are many good actors, strong roles and everything gets solved at the end. It has a comic touch, irfan khan's acting is good. Besides him, aditi rao hyderi has done well, she is pretty good at slapping and abusing her husband in the movie.

A Wednesday : Nasruddin shah, anupam kher and a whole bunch of good actors make this movie worth seeing. The story is good. It is based on a terrorist plot where terrorist calls up police asking to free some of his gang members or they will blow up the police station. What comes out eventually is a surprise and show the misery of common indian.

Company : The movie is the story of a mumbai gang leader ajay devgan and his new recruit vivek oberoi. All the characters are well portrayed. The story moves fastly and there are no boring slow moments.

Fashion : Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the movie focusses on fashion industry and models taking drugs, struggling to be on top. Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut are really fantastic in their roles. It shows the ugly face of glam industry.

Gadar : Gadar has sunny deol, bollywood's favorite action hero. This is a romantic story of a punjabi middle aged guy and teenage muslim girl in riots. The guy is forced to marry girl and they have a kid. But the evil grand dad comes up and tries to tear the family apart.

Life in a metro : Life in a metro as the name says circles around the life of individuals lost in the city. A couple whose marriage is in problem because of extra marital affairs, a girl who's passed the age of marriage and again irfan khan as the guy who makes her understand that you have to put yourself out to get through relations. There is also an old couple who realize at the end that they should have stayed together and not listened to their parents. The old guy played by dharmendra quotes as we are all running after something more special, when we get it we want something even more special. Desires never end, life ends. So be happy at the moment or you will never be happy in your life.

Khamoshi : A perfectly normal singing girl raised by dumb and deaf parents falls in love with a handsome guy and thus problems arise. How she makes her parents understand her love and compassion for them and for the guy is what the movie is all about.

Omkara : Omkara has that rough edgy village effect. It is based on some book I don't remember. It has saif ali khan, ajay devgan and vivek oberoi alonwith kareena kapoor and konkana sen. The movie is brilliant. The story of jealousy, betrayal, love, loyalty all encapsuled into one. It is one of those flicks you treasure in dvds.

Provoked : It is the story of a woman who is facing charges for burning her husband alive. She has two children and from jail she narrates her story. Aishwarya Rai plays the role of the punjabi wife.It gives a peek into the domestic violence and sick people who torture them.

Pyaar ke side effects : This is a funny movie based on a couple with height difference and their engagement, breakup, marriage, child issues taken in a light comic manner. How men pretend sometimes, how women overplay them most of the times. Rahul bose and mallika sherawat play lead roles, supporting actors are known faces.

Pyaar ka Punchnama : Again a funny movie on 3 guys and the girls in their lives, one of them opts for live-in, other guy is being used as stepni in relationship and third guy is in girlfriend dominated genre. Some of the parts are goofy and gay where guys roam around almost naked and ripping each other towels. But dialogues were good. And girls look so real, like some or the other girl we know.

No one killed jessica : This is a movie based on true story where a high class bartender was shot dead in a party full of high profile people but judgement was denied for many years. The witnesses are bought over and the family is threatened to stop the case as the murderer comes from a political party. Then media steps in and changes the whole scenario.

Rajneeti : Movie on political families who decide to fight against each other and the whole story gets bloody violent. A lot of people are tricked and lose life, lovers, kids. The sad part is it actually happens in india. Whole movie is shot in bhopal, which is my hometown too.

Swades : When Shahrukh khan had nice scripts, this was one of them. He plays an indian working outside india, he comes to india in search of his childhood nanny, she lives in a village with no electricity and various other problems. It is upto him if he stays or leaves alone.

Rocket singh : The major reason for this movie to be in list is Ranbir kapoor and gauhar khan. They are fab in this flick. It is about a guy who is below average and works as salesman in a company. Then he comes up with some idea and starts working on his own idea while working for the same boss.

Rockstar : Ranbir kapoor as rockstar simply is awesome and so handsome to just look at. But he is probably the best actor right now and with this right script, the movie just blows mind. Although sometimes the desperation for love or lust doesn't make sense to me. Nargis Fakhri's character is so confused, probably like a girl would be. Anyways movie is worth seeing.

Sarfarosh : This is an old aamir khan movie. It is on how people in border areas are affected by terrorism and how people inside country are influenced and misled to follow the criminals. On the side track is a cute romantic story emanating from college. Aamir khan plays the cop and sets out on the mission to find backstabbers of country.

Legend of bhagat singh : An ajay devgan movie again. He plays bhagat singh, the famous patriot revolutionary who fought against britishers through various violent plans. At the end of the movie, he and his friends die in the name of the country. After this movie, you will probably hate gandhi.

Shakti the power : Sanjay and karishma are a couple living faraway from their roots. Sanjay kapoor gets the call and goes back to his people alongwith wife and kid. But what he was getting away from catches up and he is killed by his father's enemies. Now karishma is jailed and her kid is taken. How she escapes with the help of shahrukh is the movie. The rural india they show is actually true portrayal of some of the parts of UP and Bihar states.

Taare zameen par : Movie by aamir khan has  a dyslexic kid and shows how much pressure we put on kids to fare well in exams. Parenting is not for everyone and just because you gave birth doesn't imply you deserved it. Parents have to understand kids and not force things on them.

Wake up sid : This movie is again a ranbir kapoor movie. There is this irresponsible guy who fails in exam and has no ambition in life then he meets the girl who is from kolkata with hopes of becoming editor. His father throws him out of the house, eventually he gets focussed in life on photography and starts dating the girl.
