Idiot Box favourites

As I have already said, I do nothing except watching movies and television series so today I am gonna add some of those series:

1) Friends : Friends is the tv series everyone likes, its on most of the people's facebook pages. It holds more relevance to me because the whole seasons dvds were given to me by my husband after our first date. That was the last thoughtful gift after that we got married. Anyways I liked joey, phoebe the most. And best thing about the whole series was it kept moving forward, not like some of those sitcoms where nothing changes at all.

2) The Big Bang Theory : Sheldon Cooper is my favourite, he is so weirdly funny and interesting. His character is the most amusing one. The whole concept of show is different and good. Then came shamy, i just love amy and her sexual desires towards sheldon. 

3) Rules Of Engagement : Jeff is best. The show is about 3 couples, one couple who have been married for a long time, another one is in lovy duvy mode and then there are bachelors. I love jeff audrey relationship, the jokes on how married life changes after sometime and how well adjusted you get. Its just awesome. Adam, russell, timmy all are so perfect in their characters.

4) Supernatural : I have always been a fan of dean winchester. Supernatural seemed quite interesting in its first seasons but dean went to hell and with that show went into hell too. Still jensen ackles, misha collins are at their best and bobby is a consistent character. I stopped seeing supernatural after latest season's episode 2 or 3. It just wasn't going anywhere, till this point it had things to look upto. I got tired just like dean always was. 

5) American Horror Story: This is the latest series i am hooked to. It is so creepy weird and strange. The guy who plays tate does it so well. The sexy french maid who looks old to women and talks intelligently against men is the best. There are so many characters, development of story is done brilliantly. Waiting eagerly for second season to start in october. 

6) Dexter : Dexter again is one of those shows whose initial seasons were so good. The first season, ice truck killer was the best. The latest season didn't do that well. Now dexter just follows criminals, letting people die at the cost of his insane passion. The wife and child ruined dexter for me. Loved the series when there was julia stiles. Whatever, except the last season all of them were good.

7) Better With You : Another show on couples, old couple who are so well adjusted that they can afford to ignore each other, one with live-in who are through with the love phase and know each other well. Then there is the third couple who just fell in love. Old couple is mommy daddy, other couples are sisters and their boyfriends. The show has loud music sometimes and lot of funny moments.

8) Wonder Years : This is another series gifted to me by my husband alongwith friends dvd. I like kevin and the whole narration thing going on. Kids falling in love, being dumped, kissing behind trees is so adorable. The episode that I loved the most was daughter father love in which he will always leave light on for the girl to come home. And also the one where they say something like we are looking for someone to complete us not knowing that person could be dancing right next to us.

9) Modern Family : It is shot like a documentary where couples and their children are interviewed by the crew. An old man who marries young sofia, the gay son with funny gay partner and korean kid, dominating daughter with 3 kids and phil. The show is funny in its execution. Cam is my favourite. 

10) Desperate Housewives : This series never disappointed me except when they decided to do the series finale. The whole mary alice narration, bree, gaby, lynette, susan and their changing husbands kept everyone hooked. It has got that surprise element, when paul comes out, when new housewife moves on the lane, a new australian moves in. Wisteria lane was the most happening street ever. 

11) Two and A Half Men : Same sob story as others. I liked it more with charlie sheen and adorable kid. Ashton kutcher is good but all characters look lame now. The show is extremely funny and hilarious. There is so much adult humor with models coming in the house. Kandi was the best, she left charlie, she married alan. Then obviously the second favorite character is evelyn. A must see for those who can't wait to be tied to some commitment. My favorite episode is the one where he writes songs for children. I added the link for it.

12) South Park : Eric Cartman is so evil and butters is extra cute. Their latest episode something called ziplining was awesome till they introduced real people in eric and other's roles. Also love is like taking a dump butters, sometimes blah blah. Find out yourself. The initial seasons with episodes like pig elephant kid or they killed kenny were much more creative than the ones right now with musical touch being added. 

13) Samurai Champloo : This is another animated series. It has some action, funny characters. Two guys and a girl set out on their mission. 

14) Elfen Lied : This is one awesome animated series. On one side she is cute, other part of her is evil. It has blood gore and still has the most pure love. 

There is one more video that i kinda like. I am not a fan of the show.

My more of chick like list

Here is the list of movies that are good to see with girlfriends, sisters, moms but do not torture your brothers, boyfriends or fathers if they are not into romantic stuff. Let them hang out with superheroes or god of war.

1) If Only : I fell in love with paul nicholls after this. Jennifer was okk. The movie is so romantic and shows how we are all always running after stupid dreams ignoring the actual assets and dreams that came true. I adore the story and it is a major tear-jerker. 

2) P.S. I love you : Gerard Butler looks so cool and worthy of every tear shed in the movie. Hilary swank again is okk. She acts good but somehow that cuteness sometimes doesn't come across. But it made me think how life would be void if that special someone suddenly disappears. How much more that miss word could hold meaning then? Its just painful. 

3) 13 going on 30 : Mark Ruffalo looks like the friend every girl should have. The story seems so true, this is what girls do, they run after other guys, they want to have other guys as friends who they can hang out with. Why not test them for boyfriend tag too? I did the same thing so I know how this cupid arrow points in the slightly wrong direction sometimes. The movie is about friendship, love, dreams and fantasy. What if you could do it all over again? This is the best scene of movie according to me. 

4) Little Manhattan : I love kids in movies. Little boy loves the taller pretty girl, he does things to impress her and that awesome narration of what is going on in the mind of the cute guy. There is so much to learn and remember from these movies. Very sweet movie filled with cute moments and karate. 

5) My sister's keeper : This is not a fun movie. It is on a serious subject and made me cry after every 5 minutes. The fact that people actually do one more kid to support the other kid isn't that awful but every conversation has 2 sides. A mother loves both and would do anything to see both of them alive even if that costs something more. You can't let you child die but at the same time another kid is having operations at a younger age. 

6) He's just not that into you : I like this movie, it has so many famous lovely actresses. The story is good, especially jennifer aniston's character is so good. Drew Barrymore is sooo pretty. How all of the characters are together is interesting too. Every character reminds me of some girl I know.

7) The Proposal : It has sandra bullock as the boss and some other guy. Anyways, the family is not irritating as it is in most of the movies where they show incredibly crazy family members still in love with each other. Grandma is superb.Sandra bullock dance is good. The ex-girl is also normal. It has love, dog, countryside.

8) Marley and Me : Ohh this movie has the cutest rowdiest dog ever. The movie shows the normal life we all lead, how we all follow a plan of love, job, marriage, house, kids, bigger house. It has a lot of  funny moments, some couple fights over real problems. The part is can we start over again. A must see for dog-lovers. Noone's life is normal or ordinary, its always special.

9) 17 again : Zac Efron makes this movie toooooo goood. There is chandler from friends too. Again it has the same lesson, you can't change destiny, even if you go around cursing others or yourself for what happened and how you could die to change it, you won't. It all got to this point because of our past choices. Don't be frustrated, just dive in and let go. Let life run its course. The movie is funny and love story with deep insight.

10) In her shoes : Cameron Diaz is the lead actress. This movie is on two sisters, how one sister is always dependent on one or the other person. The movie is really cute and the end poem said by cameron wins you over. 

11) Descendants : This is a george clooney movie. It has a dead mother, father who never cared much earlier and children who are used to the arrangement. The mother dies after doing something terrible, the kids and father bond up, at the end they realise how life is and how everything should go on as planned. Besides all this, george clooney has an important decision to take and how this all affects his decision.

12) 50 first dates : The movie is about a girl who keeps forgetting things after every 24 hours, the guy who falls in love with her and finally marries her and they have kids. Imagine the kind of chemistry these characters must have. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are my favourites. They are just so fab in the movie. All characters are good, the movie is funny too. There are animals kissing and the guy whose always in adam's movies. Must see for every couple.

13) Everybody's Fine : A widower who realized his only connection to his family was through his wife sets off on an impromptu road trip to reunite with each of his grown children. It has various emotions, it makes you cry, it makes you anxious and the end scene is just awesome. The way he sees his children is so heart touching. 

14) The Help : This movie is funny yet painful. What mini did was so like a slap on the face of whole society. Every person should see this movie. Even in india, when people keep maids, they want them to be clean and from some higher brahmin clans. Its disgusting to listen to these people talking. 

15) Just go with it : The movie is so hilarious with adam, jennifer, model girl and kids. Between the whole movie's story is taken from a bollywood flick that came years before this one was conceived. It had salman, katrina and sushmita. 

16) Sweet Home Alabama :  This movie has reese as the small town girl who divorces and then leaves to be in the city where she gets engaged to this cute wealthy politician. And as it happens, she come back  to realize it was all sad breakup and decides to kiss the ex again after she runs off from her wedding. Josh lucas is extremely sweet and pleasant throughout the movie. 

17) The Wedding Singer Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are so young in this movie. The story is predictable, infact salman khan from bollywood stole the story and made a movie kahin pyaar na ho jaaye. It was the worst movie of that time. Anyways this hollywood flick is awesome and the song that he writes for her is the dream song. It kind of inspired my new haircut from drew barrymore. Even let you hold the remote control :)

18) Life as we know it Two people who think they are opposites and never even thought of dating are brought together by dead friends who made them responsible for their only child. Its kind of go with the flow movie. At the end the whole love that can survive hardships makes sense. 

19)Music and Lyrics If i were born as a guy, I would want drew barrymore so bad. So there is a failed pop singer who makes appearances in kids amusement parks with his sunken career and just when he is looking for a rebirth in music world, he stumbles onto drew, natural lyrics writer. She is cute, perky with her own professor issues. They fall in love, he writes a song for her way back into love which is absolutely the second favorite dream tune. The song that i love the most is pop goes my heart. 

20)Freaky Friday Most of the girls have mom issues, most of them hate each other at some point in life. The movie just puts them in each other roles' and then they realize how difficult it is for both of them to survive. Its not about surviving rather, I'd say its more like love them with their choices. The movie is very funny. 

21)The Devil Wears Prada Hmm Boss issues for sure. There is hathway, meryl steep and some guy. Its funny at times, it is not for the guys i guess. Its a major chick flick.

22)The Hot Chick A somehow hot teenager and elderly guy who is also a thief get their souls exchanged accidentally. Its a funny situation and they pretty much made use of it. 

23)My super ex girlfriend  Uma Tharman is super girlfriend and she is dumped, she takes it badly and gets on vindictive route of destroying the life of her ex and the new gf. The story is pretty simple, another girl comes into his life, he starts liking her but then there are even more super complications with super powers getting distributed to many. 

More Foreign language movies other than angrezi

There are so many movies I have seen and liked and then forgot to add on facebook or download them so it seems I can't remember the complicated names or english versions. Still there are few I could grab from my husband's facebook page. Thanks to him for some of these flicks.

1) Bliss aka Mutluluk : This movie is about a girl who is raped and then as they do in muslim countries, she is sentenced to death. A guy is asked to take her away to some place far and kill her but instead he starts loving her and for a change there is a happy ending. It somehow shows that its society that gives rise to crimes and if given a choice no man will ever kill another. Its all peer pressure and spineless pervert oldies.

2) Haute Tension : The ending isn't totally unpredictable but not so disappointing too. It has blood, gore and new ways of killing brutally. It is not for the weak hearted people. Fast paced movie with some girl on girl action.

3) Pan's Labyrinth : This movie has magical creatures, some magical plants too i guess. It is one of those childhood fantasy movies where you wish your years of growing up had this much drama. The story is good enough for me. Some creepy weird scenes too. But overall it is good.

4) Oldboy : Oldboy is about a guy who was imprisoned for 15 years and then he is released, he meets this girl as soon he is out and when he finds out who the captor was and why he subjected him to this torture, it all falls into place and the whole movie seems worth giving time to. Some stupid bollywood producer copied the story and made it horribly lame. Anyways original one is awesome.

5) I saw the Devil : And I saw this awesome movie. The movie is stretched a bit at some places and somewhere it shows some signs of bollywood effects. Its has a lesson that those who love to afflict pain on others feel nothing at all. It is about an evil guy who rapes, a guy whose pregnant wife is raped and then after some foolish attempts of grabbing him while the rapist is in action and getting some people killed, the vindictive cop guy finally kills this devil. It could have been better. But this version isn't that bad too. It is violent and gory.

6) The Last House On The Left : Again a movie based on revenge. How a father would revenge his daughter. What happens when you hurt someone's kids, what a doctor could do to the hooligans. It is not one of those lame movies where victims just succumb and accept defeat easily. Here they fight back and justice is served cruelly to brutal criminals.

6) The Devil's Backbone : An orphanage with some corrupt workers and innocent children. A new kid gets to the orphanage and discovers the dark secrets of wandering ghost child and plots going on against the management. I have described it in a boring way but movie is way too interesting. It has its own horror and charm.

7) The Warrior's Way : This movie has a cute child with top warrior. He moves to a city with different kind of people, like in a circus. The movie has less action scenes, the story is pretty simple too but when the action comes, it is full fledged ninja kungfu one. You will never regret watching this one.

8) Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance : Sympathy seriously, it will keep pouring in. Whosoever is in charge loses it to someone else and unexpected turn comes into play. The movie keeps you hooked till the end. Heh not all people are born lucky i guess. The story is full of twists and emotions.

9) Apocalypto : This movie was coming on some movie channel and my husband was like, ohh this is a good one, turns out it has an english producer but to add originality the producer had them talk in the different language. The whole tribe is attacked by another strong violent tribesmen and they take men for sacrifice. But one guy escapes and saves his family that includes pregnant wife and child.

10) Grave of the Fireflies : This is an animated movie. A brother takes care of his small sister in times of war. As they do, the sister's character is immensely cute and brother is responsible enough to be with her even after her death. The movie is intense and it is well made. Sorry for some spoiler information throughout the list.

Bollywood movies that aint so bad

That aint so bad well most of the bollywood movies are full of crappy scenes songs actors stories. The actors, actresses are just models and dance away on foreign locations wasting our taxpayer's money. How we pay for them is an interesting conclusion I will derive later. Anyways so some of the movies and shows that are not so bad  :

1) Matrubhoomi : This is the movie where they show extreme case of village where there are no girls because of female foeticide and many more topics are covered. To this day, girls are bought sold as wives  in form of cash or dowry. Anyways here is the clip, you can see the whole movie on dailymotion.

2) Saheb Biwi Gangster : Okay so don't expect movies without songs. This movie has a different feel to it. A rural yet cunning flavor. Don't know how to explain it. Saheb means master, Biwi as in wife and gangster is gangster. The actors are not very famous ones but they are good.

                                     

3) Saathiya : Movie about a couple who fall in love but then after marriage they realise having a wife or a husband isn't a piece of cake. Its melodramatic at times but the actor happens to be my favourite one and then he was sunk by salman khan, that is a whole different story but the movie is quite good. How you fight constantly but idea of living apart or losing forever shakes you up. I would rather fight with you than love someone else. 

     

                                       

4) Guru : Movie is about an industrialist who rose up from being a teacher's son to the most famous person in india. The reel life couple is now real life couple, aishwarya and abhishek. Me, i am not a fan of them but the movie happens to be an entertaining one especially the songs and his whole struggle. It is a good movie.

5) Kahaani : This movie has vidya balan in it, so if I am saying it is good. It must be better than that, she is a good actress. The story is good, kinda suspense thriller, some characters act over creepy dangerous and then turn out to be nothing but hell bollywood with this much less flaws is okk. 

6) Tum Bin : This is a romantic movie. A girl, her fiance dies at the hands of the guy who falls in love with her later and there is another guy who loves the girl too but she loves this accidental murderer guy. Its a nice movie, the actress is pretty and again none of them did well in bollywood.

7) Chak de india : This movie has Shahrukh khan, the superstar. Well I wish he was one, he hasn't been doing good films and acts only in romcoms. Still this is one of those typical sports movies, the movie obviously has some flaws like technicalities and all but its good. Girls hockey team from different states, obv they are not good together, don't gel well, this captain with his own history comes up and makes them win finals. 

8) Robot : The movie is a Rajnikant movie, I don't know why people prefer to see ra-one over this. This movie has aishwarya again looking stunning and then there is a robot who falls for her when emotions are given to robot, i know i know sounds bakwas( nonsense) but trust me its not that bad. On the top of that robot's name is chitty. See the movie and decide yourselves. The songs are good, my sister knows the lyrics of all of them. 

9) Jo jeeta wahi sikander : This is an old aamir khan movie. So i doubt if people could like it. It is a sports movie, well lets say movie on cycling race. It has teenage love stories, some action and my childhood memories of seeing it and liking it so I had to add it. But its not that bad.

10) Dor : This movie reminds me there are a lot more movies like this i have to add. Anyways this movie is on two women, one from village who loses her husband because other woman's husband shot him by mistake. So how they become friends and about their whole different lives. This is one of the best movies in the list.

11) Iqbal : The movie is amazing. Its about a deaf dumb guy who learns to play cricket and again there has to be a coach with significant history and heroic moments, intelligent decisions. Its one of those movies that make you think there is still hope for bollywood. 

Again there are many more movies but I am late for lunch so I will add more later.

Celebrities I love :)

There are a lot of celebrities these days, i mean seriously with all these television series and movies and reality shows, almost every other person in mumbai( as in indian bollywood television hub) considers themselves one. They have kids coming in movies, serials, reality shows. Its chaotic and none of them deserve the kind of money they get. On the contrary there are some who I don't mind if they earn a little bit more. So the list of my favourite celebrities goes on :

1) Sawyer sawyer sawyer From Lost : The only reason I see Lost is because I am head over heels in love with him. He is an australian and the most interesting character on show. His dimples could drive any girl crazy.

2) Dean from supernatural from initial seasons  : Dean Winchester and his girls, she's my cherry pie, his sense of humor, his smile, his jacket, his eyes. He can sing, dance, act. He is kinda cool, funny. But after some seasons he started shouting more, after his journey from hell he isn't that spirited guy anymore. But jensen is. 

3) Misha Collins from Supernatural : If angels take such vessels, I am all up for angels. Misha collins, castiel acts well. He looks like the kind of guy who won't talk to every other girl and just acts coooool with all the hippie t shirts and music. 

 4)  Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones : The only reason why Lannisters should rule is Jamie Lannister. I wonder how the genes went wrong with joffrey. Ohh jamie, you look like sawyer from lost. Unfortunately they show him less and  most of the time is given to lame starks.

6) Daniel Henney : The actor from seducing Mr. Perfect. 

7) Kunal kapoor  An indian actor, well he didn't succeed in acting much. But he is adorable anyways with those dimples.

8) This guy from fastrack ad with genelia, he was in a video called jiya by zubeen garg too and then in neha nagpal tan dole mera man dole video. 

 9) LOGAN : I know his real name but i prefer to call him wolverine, he looked so good in real steel. He is an australian too. So I don't know may be australians have that edge over others. I hate the way claire in lost says it all in her accent but when these men say it, its soooo good.

Foreign movies everyone should see

I have seen a lot of korean, japanese, chinese etc language movies and I love how they portray emotions, action, story. How they develop characters is amazing; Here is a list of few movies everyone should see:

1) The sorcerer and the white snake : The movie is simply lovely, awesomely magical. It has some loose ends but the mesmerizing scenery, beautiful girl, snake, action kept me hooked to it.

2) Bedevilled  : What happens when the anger is repressed and all it needs is a trigger. What goes on in the minds of so many wives out there. What would you do if you could actually do it? It just so happens that everyone who has seen it has loved it. There is some blood but it all gets to place.

3) The Man From Nowhere : The child is in danger, handsome man comes to rescue. Saw it a long time ago, nice action scenes as all these movies have. A must see for girls who hate action movies. 

4) A Little Thing Called Love : This movie is one of those cute high school romantic comedies. Awww is the word for the movie, Its full of those love with goosebumps moments, It has all the teenage crush situations. As you go through the movie, you realise ohh i went through this too. Makes you nostalgic, yearning for that anxiousness when everything wasn't as plain as now.

5) Please Teach Me English : Another cute flick. They don't wanna hook up, they like other people, ultimately end up with each other. Its full of fun and comic situations.

6) Totally True Love : Mommy says you can't fall in love when you are this young, the girl can't stop staring at the new boy in town, cute kids, blend of friendship, jealousy and a bit of anger too. It somehow stretches but it is lovable. The two friends look more like sisters. 

7) Noroi: The Curse  : The movie is like a documentary. The whole evil thing comes out but not like it comes out in US movies, Its not cheesy and funny like some documentaries turn out to be. Not that scary, but it does have that suspense thriller factor in it. 

  

8) Seducing Mr. Perfect : Mr. Perfect indeed looks perfect. Since the movie, I am quite obsessed with having an american korean child. The guy looks superb, fantastic and its just not the reason to see the movie. The story is predictable but good.

9) REC, REC2 : This is a horror series and its actually bone-chilling. Again shot like someone is holding camera and that moment when the whole blood episode and other horrible things happen which i don't wanna disclose. The movie series is awesome and bizarre in some sense. 

10) Life is beautiful : The movie is the story of an optimistic father, a wonderful husband and a very cheerful happy person who comes out as the wisest guy in the world. How he copes up with the nazi camp and how he keeps his kid thinking its all a reality show is quite special.

Getting lazy day by day

I don't understand what problem government has with stupid things, now they think violent video games provoke children to commit crime, they want to convert fantasy to action. Aaah all they do is help them pass time and gives them focus, at least this is what they do to me. 

Chennai firm sought action against piracy, they blocked dailymotion, isohunt and many other sites just like that. So if the government doesn't want people to see pirated movies, they would rather stop connection to sites. Stupid call, anyways hidemyass, proxy sites exist.

Cartoon controversy has ministers satisfied, academics bemused. Rekha took oath for rajyasabha, jaya made faces, media won't let them be. Still actors don't make good politicians, there was dharmendra, govinda, hema malini and lata mangeshkar. So old cavemen had their own porn magazines, they had rave parties too. See someone should tell politicians not to attack people in pub. It is what cavemen did too.

Sunny leone she is conservative in porn industry. Yes just because you have a website and your videos are not available on free web doesn't mean you are conservative. Good for her, bollywood loves foreigners. Wish they had men imported too. Bollywood actors look so indian and boring.

IPL is under sting operation too for fixing matches on spot, 5 players have been arrested. Shahrukh Khan had some argument with mumbai cricket association on manhandling people. Now lalu prasad yadav says stop ipl and ministers are gonna protest against ipl to stop it. Some american girl was teased in ipl party so a cricketer is arrested too.

60 years of parliament :)

Sunday was mother's day and my sis's bday. Three of us live in different cities, so it hardly matters. Anyways  for a change i wished my mum-in-law. Goa government has decided to give 1000 bucks to housewife, yeah well if she wants she can earn more by doing the same work for some other family. Lets see, chefs take 5000 min, then cleaning laundry dishes etc etc more 3000. And some of the housewives are happy about it, oh yeah 1000 for monthly vegetables. Woman decided to send a terrorist threat email from her husband's account, stupid stupid idiot. Police caught her. Picking four foreigners is tricky for IPL teams, picking 4  indians could be much more tough. They all play bad and now that i know their matches are fixed, i knew they couldn't have played that well. We feared a 9 to 5 power shutdown here today, but may be tomorrow. They never miss it. Sourav ganguly, poor lad he was praised some time, now they threw him out of team. Only captain to be thrown out 2 times, nawaabi pride drowned him.

After having food in rajdhani express, ministers fell ill, well i wanted this to happen sometime. Once we ordered sambar it had mosquito, potatoes were black, daal had fly in it and rice even a dog won't eat it. So any one who travels by train, please please please eat chips cake but never ever buy food in train. Food poisoning, money loot, water from toilet in bottles is just common. Secret of marriage lies in simplicity, patience yeah sure successfully separated ones. As they say in desperate housewives " and they argued heavily ever after" . Our parliament completed 60 years and they did nothing except fighting, creating chaos, seeing porn in there and shouting like kids. One minute of wastage costs us taxpayers 30,000 rs. Imagine the scenario, you work for a company, when you want a raise say 500%, you guys discuss it and pass it just like that. Divorce reasons always root from bizarre facts, so she can't cook so i am hungry so its frustrating so we don't talk, then there are unresolved problems piling up on foooood and how mom could cook and make others jealous, so i want a divorce. She can't taste her own food, so she doesn't get it , so i feel alone, now i am depressed, now i want out and she won't says sorry. And in other cases he won't take me out to dinner i have to cook, i don't like cooking, i could go out with somebody else, i want an out too.
